West Ham tipped to seal ‘top centre-forward’ signing after reveal – pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped West Ham to sign a “top centre-forward” before the end of the transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted West Ham cannot rely on Michail Antonio all season given his injury record and their commitments in Europe.
The Express‘ Ryan Taylor reported on 24 August that the Hammers have rejected the chance to sign a number of centre-forwards already this window.

Antonio became the club’s top Premier League goalscorer on Monday with a brace against Leicester City.
But Agbonlahor still expects West Ham to sign a back up by the end of the month.
“If you bring in a striker at West Ham you’re not going to bring in anybody better than him,” he told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“But what you’ve got to look at, if he’s injured they don’t have the same threat. They need someone else in there who can come in when he’s injured, come on after 60 minutes. You need that second striker.
“Antonio has been renowned for his hamstring issues. It’s all good now with the start that he’s had but he does hurt his hamstrings quite a lot. You don’t want to be stuck with no striker.
“They need to go out and find a good quality striker. You’ve seen Gabriel Jesus play second fiddle to Sergio Aguero at Man City, you see it at a lot of teams. I don’t see why you can’t buy a top centre-forward.

“Even if Antonio is your number one, he might get throw a bad run of games. You need competition.
“There’s also the Europa League games so they definitely need a striker before the window closes.”
In other news, West Ham fans should be worried by a “surprise” David Moyes transfer admission.
