West Ham United backed to agree £30m deal for Axel Disasi
West Ham United could agree a £30million deal to sign Chelsea defender Axel Disasi on a permanent basis, according to Keith Wyness.
The former Everton chief executive, speaking to Football Insider, believes West Ham’s negotiating position will be strengthened by remaining in the Premier League.
The Hammers are in a fight to avoid relegation to the Championship, and the arrival of Disasi in January has made a difference in tightening up their defence.
The 28-year-old has been frozen out at Chelsea, and it would be in the Blues’ best interests to sell the defender in the summer transfer window.
West Ham will need to replace key players this summer, with the Hammers’ financial situation meaning they will have to sell in the transfer window.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – states that a deal for Disasi to move to West Ham will only be viable if the club remain in the top flight.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness believes that Chelsea will be happy to let Disasi leave.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “No doubt he seems to be enjoying his time at West Ham.
“He’s playing well. £40million is the sort of number that I’m expecting to see for Disasi if he were to go. Now, that ain’t happening if West Ham go down.
“If they stay up, then it could happen. They might be in a position to negotiate better with Chelsea because they don’t want an unhappy player back, and they’ve got to prune the costs.
“If West Ham can stay up, then they could be in a decent position to get him for something like £30m plus add-ons, which I think would be a really good price for somebody like Disasi. He certainly has come into his own and he’s become a fan favourite very quickly.
“He certainly helped Nuno shore up where they were leaking before, and he is a talent. Chelsea, knowing they’ve got an unhappy player, can’t really push too hard, otherwise they’re going to be bringing back some issues.”
New club enters Crysencio Summerville transfer race
Crysenico Summerville is one star who has been widely tipped to leave West Ham in the summer, with a whole host of clubs interested in his services.
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that Aston Villa now hold an interest in Summerville.
Aston Villa will pursue a new winger in the transfer market, and Summerville has emerged as one of the most important members of the West Ham squad.
The 24-year-old’s latest injury troubles have been a blow to West Ham, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side having not won the last three games he hasn’t been involved in.
