West Ham player ratings v Tottenham – Powerhouse loses eight out of ten duels, James Ward-Prowse shines
West Ham United and Tottenham drew 1-1 as the visitors were relieved to leave the London Stadium with a point on Tuesday (2 April) night.
Brennan Johnson put the visitors ahead after just five minutes following a well-worked team goal from Ange Postecoglou’s side.
But Hammers ace Kurt Zouma equalised in the 19th minute, with the scoring in East London finishing there as the teams were forced to settle for a point apiece.
PLAYER RATINGS
Lukasz Fabianski [7]
Was helpless for Johnson’s opener as he filled in for the injured Alphonse Areola, but the veteran Pole certainly helped secure a point with three saves in East London [Sofascore].
Vladimir Coufal [4]
The Czech Republic man will be disappointed with his efforts for Tottenham’s goal, with the right-back beaten far too easily by Timo Werner, who grabbed the assist.
Konstantinos Mavropanos [6]
The Greek international has not had the smoothest of transitions at the London Stadium, but the central defender certainly won back some Hammers fans with his display.
Kurt Zouma [7]
An important performance at both ends of the pitch from Zouma, who guided home Jarrod Bowen’s dangerous corner to score the equaliser.

Emerson [6]
The left-back made three tackles as he defended admirably against a quick and talented Tottenham attack, with Emerson not able to get forward as much as he would have liked down the left.
Tomas Soucek [7]
It was a tireless, battling display from the midfield ace, who battled expertly against a talented Tottenham midfield, with Soucek winning all three of his ground duels.
James Ward-Prowse [8]
The midfield ace would have been filled with energy and indeed determination from kick-off after yet another England snub from Gareth Southgate recently, with his two-key pass display certainly suggesting that the Three Lions boss was once again wrong to ignore him.
Jarrod Bowen [7]
Bowen was also very impressive, with the winger still fresh from a huge personal boost after shining for England on international duty. His fantastic corner resulted in Zouma’s goal.
Lucas Paqueta [6]
Paqueta proved once more just how much David Moyes missed him during his recent lengthy injury lay-off, with the Brazilian also taking confidence from his recent international exploits with another important all-round shift in claret and blue.

Mohammed Kudus [5]
It was an unusually quiet night for the Hammers star at the London Stadium, with Kudus often coming out second best in his many individual battles.
Michail Antonio [3]
The Jamaican international has been key for Moyes since returning from injury, but the powerhouse blew a huge chance to secure a home win in a tiresome display in which he won just two of his 10 ground duels.
