West Ham well placed to sign ‘unbelievable’ Lingard in January after source update – Kenny
Paddy Kenny can’t see any reason why West Ham shouldn’t return to the negotiating table to sign Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard.
The former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, branded Lingard’s performances last season as “unbelievable”.
A West Ham source has told Football Insider that dialogue is continuing behind the scenes with Lingard’s camp and a January deal is firmly on the cards.

The East London side are open to a loan or permanent swoop for Lingard.
Manchester United were holding out for £30million during the summer window.
However, the situation may be complicated after the attacker reportedly refused to sign new terms at Old Trafford.
His current deal expires next summer.
The midfielder therefore is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign side in January.
As such, Kenny claimed West Ham could face stiff competition for “professional” Lingard.
“I don’t see why they can’t go back in for him, I think they can definitely sign him in January,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“I’m surprised West Ham didn’t get him in the recent window, he was unbelievable there last season.
“But I’m sure there’ll be other takers as well.
“I know he did well last season with West Ham but that’s not to say they have first dibs on him.
“The way he performed last season just shows what a great lad he is and how professional he is.”

Lingard notched nine times and registered five assists in 16 Premier League games during his reinvigorating Hammers loan spell last term.
The England star has played just four minutes for the Red Devils this season.
In other news, David Moyes is planning to axe this ‘untouchable’ Hammers star this season.
