West Ham will accept ‘significant’ Kurt Zouma offer – sources

West Ham will sell Kurt Zouma this summer if they receive a “significant” offer in the transfer window.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that interest has emerged from clubs in Saudi Arabia, with a possible exit deal on the cards in the transfer window.

However, sources also say it would be a surprise to see Zouma, 29, pushed out of the club due to his role as the club captain.

Football Insider revealed on 31 May that the Hammers are looking to sign two new centre-backs this summer, which could pave the way for the Frenchman’s exit.

Kurt Zouma could leave West Ham as mega Saudi offer mooted

Following the arrival of Julen Lopetegui, the Hammers have been tipped to have a busy summer window as the new boss looks to stamp his mark on the squad.

West Ham icon Frank McAvennie told Football Insider that the Frenchman should be among those sold, with an overhaul of the defence now necessary after a poor season.

Zouma was made captain after Declan Rice’s exit last summer, and had been a regular feature in the team under David Moyes, starting 38 games in the 2023-24 season, 29 in 2022-23 and 32 in 2021-22.

He arrived at the London Stadium on a four-year deal from Chelsea in 2021, for a fee of £29.8million, with his deal set to come to an end next summer.

The imminent arrival of Brazilian centre-back Fabricio Bruno could make an exit more likely with a suitable replacement lined up if a major transfer bid does arrive.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed that Wolves defender Max Kilman is one of the Hammers’ top targets in a deal which could be worth £40million.

In other news, Leeds and Rangers are poised to swoop for one Hammers ace.
