‘West Ham will bank £15m+ windfall as new deal agreed’
West Ham are reportedly set to end their long association with kit manufacturer Umbro in a new move at London Stadium.
According to SportBusiness (2 May), West Ham have declined to sign with Castore in favour of a long-term contract with New Balance.
It is claimed the agreement is set to run for five years from the start of the 2026-27 campaign.
West Ham have been supplied by Umbro – who also have agreements with Bournemouth, Ipswich and Brentford – since the 2015-16 season.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has suggested how much the London side could earn from their agreement with New Balance.
West Ham could bank £15m+ per year from New Balance deal, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness claimed West Ham will bank £15million per year after bonuses from their new kit deal.
Man United currently have the most lucrative kit deal in the Premier League, banking around £75million a year from their agreement with Adidas.
Wyness claimed West Ham will boost their kit revenue if they achieve European qualification.
Manufacturer | Years |
Fila | 1999 – 2003 |
Reebok | 2003 – 2007 |
Umbro | 2007 – 2010 |
Macron | 2010 – 2013 |
Adidas | 2013 – 2015 |
Umbro | 2015 – present |
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “In my estimation, given comparable deals – I think West Ham are looking at £15million a year.
“With bonuses, it could go as high as £20million – and the bonuses could be more beneficial if they are in Europe.
“I think that’s the sort of level I see West Ham getting a deal at. It could be more, but not by much.
“They are going to need that revenue going forward.
“West Ham are still a big club and they should be attracting more than that, but I don’t see anyone paying more than £15-20million a year right now.”
