West Ham’s four-man striker shortlist revealed – sources
West Ham are targeting deals to sign Ademola Lookman, Serhou Guirassy or Ivan Toney this summer, while Youssef En-Nesyri is a standout candidate.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke explained that the Hammers want a new forward, with several top options on their list of targets for Julen Lopetegui.
En-Neysri, 26, has previously worked with the boss at Sevilla, making him a key option, while West Ham have been tipped as outsiders to land Toney, 28.
Lookman, 26, scored a hattrick in the Europa League final for Atalanta and is wanted as a wide-forward at the London Stadium.
Guirassy, 28, has a £17million release clause but is attracting interest from elsewhere.
West Ham target four big-name strikers in transfer news
En-Nesyri has been a long-term target for the Hammers, and Lopetegui’s relationship with the striker has sparked renewed interest in his signature.
With his 20 goals in 41 appearances last season and 73 from 196 appearances since joining Sevilla in 2020, his goalscoring record, as well as his height and frame, have made him a top target.
Toney, meanwhile, scored 20 goals in the 2022-23 Premier League season, before scoring just four in 17 appearances last time out, with 72 in 141 games since joining Brentford in 2020.
The likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal have been linked with the Brentford striker, making the Hammers outside suitors for his signing.
Guirassy burst onto the scene in the just-completed season with Stuttgart, scoring 30 goals in 30 games, firing his side to a shock second-placed finish.

Lookman represents a different option to the other names, playing mainly from the wing rather than as a central striker, but his goalscoring exploits in the Europa League caught the eye of Hammers chiefs.
Since joining Atalanta in 2022, the Nigerian winger has scored 31 goals and provided 17 assists in 77 appearances, scoring 16 in 44 games in the season just passed.
With Lopetegui looking to strengthen his attacking options, all four strikers have emerged as potential targets on the Hammers’ list.
In other news, Wolves could accept a £40million offer to sign Max Kilman.
