Rangers boss Graeme Murty has made two changes to his side to face Aberdeen at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership – and fans are delighted to see Carlos Pena and Bruno Alves both in the starting XI for the first time since the League Cup semi-final defeat to Motherwell in October
The interim manager has made a huge change to his side’s shape with Bruno Alves and Carlos Pena coming into the starting XI for Daniel Candeias and Alfredo Morelos in a 3-5-2 formation.
The Light Blues announced the team news on their official Twitter account ahead of kick-off on Wednesday.

The Gers have lost their last two games and really can’t afford a third defeat in a row with Aberdeen already holding a six-point gap over the Light Blues in the table.
The re-introduction of Pena and Alves has pleased fans after two disappointing performances against Hamilton and Dundee.
Murty’s decision to restore the duo to the first team looks like a very bold choice and Rangers fans seem to be happy at the return of the club’s two biggest signings over the summer.
Neither player has featured for the Gers since Pedro Caixinha’s sacking on October 26th.
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
Great Alves is back but Pena playing behind Miller gives me huge concerns…

Could be I’d like to know why Pena couldn’t make the match day squad 2 weeks ago but now he’s been put straight in

Good to see Pena back in the team a goal scoring threat from midfield is what’s been missing the last few games! Morelos however is a huge loss for us his movement and hold up play will be missed

The two sides meet twice over the next four days with Rangers heading to Pittodrie on Sunday and a win over the Dons would be the perfect boost for Murty’s side after their last two results.
Aberdeen won the last meeting between the two sides at Ibox – their first win in Govan in 26 years.
In the latest Rangers news, Murty has had his say on Wednesday’s game against the Dons.
