Why Liverpool will win title if they follow reported approach with signing of this PL winner in January

Liverpool will win the title if they sign Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel in the January transfer window.
News outlet Football Whispers reported in December that the Reds had made an approach for the 30-year-old and it would cost them £20million for his signature.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp should make him the club’s number one priority in January as they need to solve their current goalkeeping problems if they are to win the title this season.
Schmeichel helped the Foxes to a surprise Premier League title last season and played every single minute, keeping 15 clean sheets in the 38 games.
The Denmark international has emerged as one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the Premier League and would be an upgrade on their current options.

Klopp is yet to decide on his number one this season and has rotated between Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.
The German manager needs a reliable goalkeeper if they are to bridge the six-point gap to leaders Chelsea and that is exactly what Schmeichel brings.
Leicester have suffered hugely this season during his injury and are relived to have the shot stopper back again.
Schmeichel developed as a consistent goalkeeper during the Football League with a number of club and has made a remarkable step up since he was promoted to the top flight with Leicester.
He is experienced in the Premier League now and would be a perfect fit for Liverpool, who are currently second in the table.
The Reds have looked in sensational form going forward, but will need to improve their defensive record if they are to win the title.
Title favourites Chelsea have kept 10 clean sheet in their last 12 league games and it has proved to be a crucial part of their success, but they are unlikely to sustain the great form during the course of the season and Liverpool need to be prepared to pounce.
In other Liverpool transfer news, the club have sanctioned a loan deal for their versatile 29-year-old.
