Why Pochettino should sign this forgotten PL ace to solve Tottenham problem area
COMMENT By Dominic Toner
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino should consider a move for Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge in the summer.
The 27-year-old has become a forgotten man at Anfield this season and has fallen down the pecking order at the Merseyside club.
However, the Englishman is a proven scorer in the Premier League and Spurs need to bolster their attacking options in the next transfer window.
The north London club have talisman Harry Kane as their first-choice striker, but summer signing Vincent Janssen has failed to provide competition.
Janssen, 22, has struggled to make an impact at White Hart Lane and scored just five goals in 31 appearances this season.

Sturridge would be an ideal man to bolster the frontline as he a great record in front of goal during his career.
The striker has made 83 appearances for Liverpool and scored an impressive 46 goals in return, while also chipping in with 19 assists.
He has been unable to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up this campaign, but there is no doubting his qualities in front of goal.
Spurs would be much safer looking for a player that is proven in the Premier League and they won’t find many better options than Sturridge, who is surely desperate for more regular football.
