Why Bruce should select this Aston Villa teenager ahead of out-of-sorts Agbonlahor

Steve Bruce should select Aston Villa teenager Andre Green ahead of the out-of-sorts Gabby Agbonlahor for the Preston North End clash on Saturday.
Forward Agbonlahor has been in dreadful form since Bruce wrongfully decided to bring him back to action in mid-October.
He has failed to score in 11 Championship and FA Cup games, while also struggling for the under-23s, providing just one assist in three matches.
By contrast, academy product Green, when given the opportunity, has shown glimpses that he is ready to provide the attacking threat Villa require.
Green has not started a league game for the club this season, but he has played 56 minutes of Championship football over six games.

He needs to start against Preston at the weekend as Bruce’s side require a much-needed boost in the final third.
The tricky winger should start on the left-hand side of attack, with Jack Grealish in behind striker Ross McCormack in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Green won’t be the answer to all of Villa’s prayers but he will provide more of a threat than his older statesman Agbonlahor.
Not only that, his name in the starting line-up will give the Villa Park faithful a big boost before kick-off against a dangerous Simon Grayson side.
Preston beat Villa on home soil last time out which saw the end of Roberto Di Matteo’s reign and they will be looking to cause more damage this time round.
In other Aston Villa news, a bid rejected for this midfield ace shortlisted by the club.
