Wilfried Zaha: Leicester and Crystal Palace told cost of deal – sources

Leicester City and Crystal Palace lead the race to sign Galatasaray’s Wilfried Zaha, sources have told Football Insider.

The Turkish giants want a multi-million pound loan fee for the former Palace forward for the season and for his wages to be paid in full.

The two Premier League sides are leading the race for the winger, and talks are ongoing about a potential deal before the 31st August cut-off.

Leicester and Palace are not the only teams monitoring the 31-year-old though, as West Ham and Wolves also have interest.

Zaha reportedly missed Galatasaray’s recent match against Hatayspor as he was involved in talks regarding a return to the Premier League.

The Ivory Coast international joined Galatasaray in 2023 after his contract at Selhurst Park expired.

Leicester City and Crystal Palace want Wilfried Zaha to boost their attacking options

Zaha has showcased his attacking qualities since moving to Turkey, scoring nine goals and creating three assists in 30 Super Lig matches.

He’s also a proven commodity in England, having made 305 appearances in the top flight.

With 68 goals and 29 assists in the Premier League, Zaha is someone who Leicester or Palace could inject into the starting lineup immediately.

Leicester

Zaha has a long history with Palace after making 458 appearances for the club during his previous stint.

The Eagles are actively looking to replace Michael Olise this summer, and bringing back a familiar face could be how that’s achieved.
