Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that his side plan to attack La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League clash on Tuesday evening.

Spurs managed to pick up their first Premier League victory at Wembley Stadium after beating Bournemouth 1-0 on Saturday afternoon thanks to a Christian Eriksen strike.

The North London club are currently on a nine-match unbeaten run in all competitions, winning six of those games.

Speaking to the Times, Pochettino claimed that Spurs will not change their style against the European champions and they will attempt exert their authority against Zinedine Zidane’s men.

“We will try to dominate,” he said.

“We will press high, try to play in the opposition’s half, try to be aggressive and brave.

“That’s how we feel football should be played. If they try to push us back deeper, then OK we may have to adapt to their quality.

“But from the beginning we will be brave and aggressive and play to win the game.”

Since Pochettino has been in charge at Spurs, his side have been renowned for a high pressing game and making life very difficult for the opposition.

It will be tough task for Tottenham as Madrid have won their last four matches in all competitions including a 2-1 victory over newly-promoted Getafe on the weekend.

Both sides are currently tied on six points in their Champions League group with the Spanish outfit in first place on goal difference.

Spurs have already demonstrated that they can perform against the top teams in the elite European competition after beating Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund last month.
