William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes react to Jurrien Timber message from Arsenal
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes reacted to a message from Arsenal directed towards defender Jurrien Timber.
After playing just three games in his maiden season in North London, the Dutch defender bounced back from a nasty injury to feature 48 times in all competitions in the 2024/25 campaign.
Timber became an integral part of Arsenal‘s back-line, ousting stalwart Ben White from the right-back position.
But despite the change in personnel, the end result was the same, with the Gunners finishing as Premier League runners-up for the third time in consecutive seasons.
Arsenal have been slow to act in the summer transfer window, but finance expert Dan Plumley told Football Insider the club have no issues financially.

Arsenal send Jurrien Timber message
Arsenal shared a message on Instagram for Timber, captioned: “Happy birthday, Jurrien!” with a video of some of the Dutchman’s best moments for the Gunners.
The post was liked by Gabriel and Saliba, with the two defenders showing support for their teammate.
Arsenal have plenty of targets but no new signings
Football Insider Verdict
Whilst the Premier League’s top clubs have been busy in the transfer window so far, there is no news coming out of Arsenal.
The Gunners spent much of last season with Mikel Merino playing as a makeshift striker, and are expected to prioritise signing a new number nine.
Mikel Arteta is likely to want several new additions, including some back-up defenders with Jakub Kiwior looking likely to depart.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Viktor Gyokeres, whilst Pete O’Rourke revealed to Football Insider RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko is the priority this summer.
But whilst Man United have signed Matheus Cunha and Chelsea secured the signing of Gunners target Liam Delap, the Gunners remain without a new signing.
There is still plenty of time for Arsenal to make additions to their squad, but with the striker market being especially threadbare, the club will need to kick into gear soon, or risk missing out on their main targets.
