Willian sends cryptic message after shock Fulham return
Fulham winger Willian took to social media to send a cryptic message to the fans after making his return to the Premier League club.
The 36-year-old made his shock return to Fulham as a free agent having left the club back in June 2024 after leaving Greek side Olympiakos at the end of December.
Willian had been linked with a move to Everton throughout the January transfer window but Football Insider revealed (January 21) that a move to Merseyside was unlikely.
Fulham’s 2-1 Premier League win over Newcastle on Saturday (February 1) sees them climb into contention for European qualification, sitting in ninth with 36 points from their 24 games.

Willian failed to have any real impact during his time in Greece, starting just three of his 11 games across all competitions, scoring zero goals, and providing one assist in his 499 minutes of action.
He was a key player during his first spell at Fulham without being prolific, starting 57 of his 70 games across all competitions, scoring ten goals, and providing seven assists throughout his 4665 minutes on the field.
Willian took to Instagram to share a cryptic message following his return to Fulham, potentially alluding to other options he had throughout January, saying: “A yes from God is a blessing. A no from God is protection. A delay from God is preparation.”

Marco Silva’s attention will turn from the Premier League to the FA Cup as they prepare for a trip to League One side Wigan on Saturday (February 8).
