In what has been a whirlwind of activity at Rangers this summer, nine players have been signed and five have departed as Pedro Caixinha implements a massive overhaul of a squad that misfired badly last season.

The Portugese is under immense pressure after the Scottish giants crashed out of the Europa League at the first qualification stage at the hands of Progrès Niederkorn on what some described as the most humiliating night in the club’s history.

It is critical that Rangers start the new season well, which kicks off with their Scottish Premiership opening day fixture against Motherwell on 6 August.

But Caixinha still needs reinforcement and has admitted he is scouring the market for players who can not only strengthen his squad, but bolster his starting line-up.
