Willy Gnonto, Joe Rodon react to Ethan Ampadu’s ‘incredible’ Leeds message
Ethan Ampadu has sent a heartfelt message to Leeds fans after they confirmed promotion back to the Premier League.
It has been a week of celebrations for the club, after Manor Solomon’s 91st minute winner against Plymouth ensured Leeds went up as champions.
There was an open-top bus parade through the city, with thousands of fans lining the streets to commemorate their Championship success.
Leeds captain Ampadu made the most of the party, leading chants about his team-mates and even wearing a traffic cone on his head.
The Welshman made 29 league appearances for the Yorkshire-based club, helping them pip Burnley to the title.
Ampadu shows appreciation to Leeds fans
After an outstanding season for the Elland Road outfit, Ampadu took to Instagram to reflect on their triumphant campaign.
The midfielder posted a compilation video which included him lifting the Championship trophy, with the popular Leeds anthem “I predict a riot” playing in the background.

In the caption, the club captain had a message for Leeds supporters: “What a team, what a fanbase, what a city. Thank you for this incredible season Leeds.”
Amapadu’s team-mates were quick to react to the post, with winger Willy Gnonto and centre-back Joe Rodon both liking the video.
Solomon, Dan James, Illan Meslier and Largie Ramazani were among some of the other Leeds players to like the post.
Football Insider exclusively revealed that Solomon is set to leave Tottenham this summer, after a successful loan spell under Daniel Farke.

As the Yorkshire club make the step up to the Premier League, there will undoubtedly be a wrath of incomings and outgoings to ensure the squad can compete in the top flight.
Leeds will have a transfer budget of £150million this summer, Football Insider exclusively revealed, and the signings will have to majorly improve the starting XI if the Whites are to have any chance of avoiding relegation.
For the past two seasons, all three promoted clubs to the Premier League have gone straight back down, as the gap between the top two divisions widens.
