Wilson Isidor reacts to Sunderland transfer announcement

Wilson Isidor reacted on social media to a Sunderland transfer announcement message.

The Black Cats started their transfer window in a fairly disappointing fashion, as Jobe Bellingham departed for Borussia Dortmund, whilst Tommy Watson completed his pre-agreed move to Brighton.

But after a slow start, Sunderland completed the signing of Enzo Le Fee and Habib Diarra, and the Premier League newcomers are looking to get several more deals over the line.

Regis Le Bris‘ side have crafted an identity based on the recruitment of cheaper, young talent, before selling them on for profits down the line.

However, finance expert Dan Plumley told Football Insider exclusively that promotion back to England’s top-flight may see Sunderland alter their transfer strategy.

Sunderland announce signing of Noah Sadiki

Sunderland announced the arrival of Noah Sadiki to the Stadium of Light, following his move from Belgian champions Union St. Gilloise.

The club shared a picture of the smiling midfielder on Instagram in a post that detailed the ins and outs of the Congolese midfielder’s fledgling career.

The post was liked by Isidor, showing support for his new teammate.

Sunderland beat out Leeds to sign exciting Noah Sadiki

Football Insider Verdict

Leeds looked to be in the driving seat to sign Sadiki, until Sunderland made an 11th-hour offer and swooped for the DR Congo international.

Young and sometimes a little rash, the 20-year-old midfielder is incredibly talented and was the fulcrum of USG’s title-winning side last season.

Sadiki is primarily a more defensive-minded midfielder, but his comfort with the ball at his feet and ability to have an impact on all areas of the pitch is why he was so sought after this summer.

The former Belgium Under-21 midfielder is undersized, standing at just 5ft5in, but that never stopped players like N’Golo Kante from thriving in the Premier League in years gone by.

Sadiki may take a little time to adapt to life and football in England, but when he does, Sunderland will have a force of nature on their hands, capable of sweeping through teams and taking over games.

Elsewhere at the Stadium of Light, Ian Darke told Mackem News exclusively that Jordan Henderson could seal a return to his boyhood club this summer.
