Rangers fans think Josh Windass needs to be axed if they are to stand a chance against Celtic tomorrow.
The 23-year-old former Accrington midfielder was poor in both games against Partick Thistle over the last week and fans don’t want him anywhere near Pedro Caixinha’s starting XI.
Celtic make the short trip to Ibrox tomorrow lunchtime as the Gers try and their 56-game unbeaten domestic run.
Fans would rather see Kenny Miller start wide on the left and have lost patience with first team regular Windass, 23, who has shown glimpses of his ability since joining the Glasgow giants but has left fans disappointed too often.
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
I would rather Miller play on the left over Windass tomorrow.

Bullied and we wouldn't be able to play Windass as he's not good enough defensively to get back to support John who'll need a lot of help…

Would have Miller instead of Windass, heart of a mouse

Windass centrally gives me the fear. We saw how clueless he is with runners in the middle last season. Anyone but him in the middle

Like it Baz, that's how I'd set up. The only concern I would have is the empty jersey that is Windass. But we're due a performance fae him.

I don't want Windass to play tbh.

cannot play Windass in a game where we need to compete in midfield he must change the formation tomorrow.

Windass had a good start to the season but has quickly reverted back to the form which frustrated fans so much last term.
Rangers will need to be on the very top of their game against Brendan Rodgers’ side and can’t afford another poor performance from Windass.
Kenny Miller, Dalcio and Aaron Nemane could all replace Windass if Caixinha does wield the axe.
Pedro Caixinha faces playing 19-year-old defender Ross McCrorie in the Old Firm clash tomorrow after Bruno Alves was ruled out with a calf injury sustained in Tuesday’s win over Partick.
The 94-times capped Portugal defender faces weeks out of action and joins Lee Wallace, Danny Wilson and Declan John on Rangers’ injury list.
Recent loan signing John is the only one who has any chance of facing Celtic after suffering a thigh knock against Partick.
In other Rangers team news, a bizarre admission from Ibrox has played right into Celtic’s hands ahead of the Old Firm.
