'Woeful', 'Terrible' - Rangers fans destroy midfielder after display v Partick
By James Black
Rangers fans have seen enough of Josh Windass after his latest bumbling display in a Rangers shirt – insisting he should be dropped for the Old Firm clash on Saturday.
The English midfielder had started to win over his many doubters after struggling last season, but, after a handful of promising performances this term, he has reverted back to type and fans are fed up.
Windass was largely anonymous against Partick Thistle and his biggest contribution was to miss a first-half chance that was easier to score.
The midfielder had pleaded to be given a chance in a more attacking position after playing as a holding midfielder last year but there’s been little evidence that playing him further forward changes anything.
Fans are quite simply out of patience with a player who promised so much but has delivered so little and now want him dropped before Celtic visit this weekend..

I love Candeias. Not your typical winger. He gets stuck in and his work rate is incredible..if only Windass gave the same.

I'm sorry, btw, but Windass should be nowhere near the side on Saturday. I dunno what we do, but not for me.

Can't chuck Nemane into an OF game, would be unfair imo. But Windass was awful tonight, really woeful.

Windass has a very real conditioning problem. He slows significantly and loses all technique after 50 minutes in every single game

The midfielder struggled to get to grips with the pace of the game and seemed to shirk making tackles, preferring to leave it to others.
Windass was very highly-rated when he came to Ibrox but it’s difficult to see why on this form.
With Carlos Pena, Niko Kranjcar, Aaron Nemane and Dalcio all potentially vying for the same starting jersey, if the 23-year-old doesn’t turn things around quickly he might find himself on the fringes of Pedro Caixinha’s squad.
Celtic are next for the Light Blue when they go head-to-head at Ibrox on Saturday lunchtime.
The Gers currently trail Brendan Rodgers’ side by five points in the Scottish Premiership.
In other Rangers team news, Chris Sutton has destroyed a midfielder for his display during Friday’s draw against Partick Thistle.
