Exclusive: Norwich City told what it will take to re-sign Ryan Bennett

Wolves have slapped a £3million price tag on Norwich City target Ryan Bennett, Football Insider can reveal.

Bennett is available for a move this summer after slipping down the pecking order under boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

A Wolves source has told Football Insider that the club value the centre-back, who turned 30 in March, around the £3m mark.

Norwich are exploring a move to re-sign a player who spent five illustrious years at their club.

He spent the second half of this season on loan at Leicester City but is now back at Molineux.

The Foxes decided not to take up their £5m option to sign him permanently that was inserted into the loan agreement.

Bennett played in Leicester’s last five matches of the season, three of which were in the starting XI and twice came on at half-time.

He has entered the final year of his contract at Wolves and they are open to selling him permanently.

Bennett featured 34 times in the top flight last year but has struggled for game time this season at both his parent and loan clubs.

He joined on a free from Norwich in 2017, won the Championship in 2018, before helping Wolves to the Europa League in their first season back in the Premier League last term.

The former Peterborough trainee has made 92 appearances for Wolves after accumulating 119 games during his time at Carrow Road that began in 2012.
