Wolves fans all in total agreement after Hwang Hee-chan developments vs Chelsea

Hwang Hee-chan’s showing in Wolves’ 3-0 loss to Chelsea left supporters frustrated.

Wolves were defeated by the Blues in a dismal afternoon in which Cole Palmer scored a first-half hat-trick at Molineux.

Tolu Arokodare did pull one back, but it was a consolation and nothing more for Rob Edwards‘ struggling side.

Long-serving forward Hwang has not had anywhere near as much impact as he has needed to this season, and that was the same against Liam Rosenior‘s side.

What are supporters saying about Hwang Hee-chan?

Hwang went off injured in the 43rd minute of the clash, and the majority of supporters seem happy that he did.

Many believe that Edwards should not have started the South Korean forward in the first place, questioning his ability.

One fan took to X on 7 February, saying: “Is Hwang injured? Best first half of the season then.”

Another said: “Your not a wolves fan if you think Hwang deserves to play for us.”

One supporter said: “How he has managed a multi-year Premier League career is beyond me.”

Why Wolves fans should be ashamed

Obviously, no fan wants to see their team in the position which the Old Gold find themselves in right now.

However, saying that you are glad that a player is injured is crossing the line, it is as simple as that.

Any supporters who are openly posting that on the internet should be ashamed of themselves, and hopefully, it is limited to the online fanbase.

Hwang has been a loyal servant to the club since signing in 2021 with 26 goals and 11 assists in 143 matches.

Hwang’s stats for Wolves all-time.

He has not been very productive in this campaign, with two goals and one assist in the league in 19 appearances, and actually has the same amount of yellow cards as goal contributions.

While his performances have not been the best this year, that is pretty much the same for every player, apart from Mateus Mane.

To judge the players, when the club is a total mess, from top to bottom, is not productive, and the issues that the side are currently facing are not down to them.

It is down to the ownership, which has neglected the club for years, and hardly bought any good recruits in the transfer market, despite having ample opportunity to do so.

Hwang may end up leaving Wolves soon, and no one would blame him if he does, if the treatment he is getting online continues.
