Sources: Wolves green light Luke Cundle loan move

Wolves are ready to loan out midfielder Luke Cundle amid interest from multiple EFL clubs, sources have told Football Insider.

The Midlands club have given the green light to the 20-year-old joining a new team for next season to get regular first-team football.

Cundle has come through the ranks at Wolves and is highly regarded by the club’s coaches.

He made his full Premier League debut against Spurs last season and has made four first-team appearances in total.

Cundle recently played a part of Wolves’ pre-season training camp in Benidorm ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

He played the full 90 minutes in the 2-1 defeat to Levante that saw four players sent off last Thursday (21 July).

The youngster’s contract at Molineux runs until the end of the 2025-2026 campaign.

He made his Premier League debut in January this year as stoppage-time subsittue in the 3-1 over Southampton.

His full debut came the following month when he played 84 minutes against Tottenham in a 2-0 victory.

Cundle went on to make six apperances in total in 2021-22.

He is natural at both central and defensive midfield roles and has also operated as a number 10.

Wolves have already allowed Fabio Silva, Ki-Jana Hoever and Louise Moulden to leave on loan in the summer window.
