Wolves ‘keen’ on signing Harvey Elliott with club ‘confident’ over deal
Wolves are “keen” on a deal for Liverpool star Harvey Elliott this summer as he prepares to leave Anfield, sources have told Football Insider.
However, Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (24 June) that Brighton are “confident” of striking a deal for the Liverpool fringe star.
Liverpool’s club-record deal for Florian Wirtz has pushed Elliott further down the pecking order at Anfield and has left the Reds needing to recoup funds.
It is believed a bid of £40million would be enough to seal the England Under-21 star’s signature – but the Merseysiders are hoping for a bidding war.
Wolves could struggle to reach Elliott price tag
Wolves, despite selling Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha for big-money already this summer, have reservations about spending that much to land Elliott.
Brighton are well placed to complete a deal at that level after their stellar transfer business in recent windows.
Nottingham Forest have also shown interest in Elliott recently and could join the scrap before the 1 September deadline.

The versatile Liverpool midfielder has recently insisted he doesn’t want to “waste his career” and hinted a move away could be the answer.
Elliot made just six starts in the 2024-25 campaign, with the former Fulham star playing just 822 minutes of action across the 2024-25 campaign.
He is under contract at Anfield until June 2027.

Wolves ready to agree striker deal
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (17 June) that Wolves are very keen on signing Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi.
Viktoria Plzen star Durosinmi, 22, was a target for Wolves in the January transfer window of 2024, but a deal failed to materialise.
He finished the 2024-25 season with nine goals and four assists in 22 games for Plzen after shaking off a long-term injury.
