‘Wolves set to lose Fabio Silva to European giant as transfer race explodes’
Wolves face losing another first-team star this summer in what has been a troubling transfer window for manager Vitor Pereira.
Pereira led Wolves to a 16th placed finish last season and an eighth consecutive season in the top flight.
The former Porto manager would have harboured ambitions to strengthen the squad, but instead Wolves have already lost three key players in this window.
Matheus Cunha has joined Manchester United, Rayan Ait-Nouri has signed for Manchester City whilst Nelson Semedo has departed following the expiry of his contract.
Wolves face losing second forward

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport [July 31] in Italy, Roma are lining up two forwards from England including Fabio Silva from Wolves.
The Giallorossi also want Claudio Echeverri from Manchester City having already signed Brighton striker Evan Ferguson on loan.
Roma do face competition for Silva from Eintracht Frankfurt, who have lost Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool, and RB Leipzig, who could intensify their interest should Benjamin Sesko depart.
Silva joined Wolves from Porto in a £35million deal, but has been loaned out to Anderlecht, PSV, Rangers and Las Palmas over the past three seasons.
Wolves must act or face another relegation fight

Football Insider Verdict
Wolves face going into the new Premier League season with much of their transfer business still to conclude.
Losing Silva would be a blow to the depth in Pereira’s forward options, which is currently heavily relying on striker Jorgen Strand Larsen for goals.
The Norwegian though has been linked with a move to Newcastle, in a switch Wolves cannot let happen.

Pereira still needs full-backs to replace Ait-Nouri and Semedo, whilst a new goalkeeper is also a target with the expected departure of Sam Johnstone.
The ambition at the club currently does not match that of many Premier League rivals and Wolves currently look set for another difficult season near the bottom end of the table.
An opening day match against Manchester City is nearly as tough as it gets for Wolves and they have so far not managed to win any of their four pre-season friendlies.
Wolves have only managed draws against Burnley and Stoke and have lost to CD Santa Clara and RC Lens, and there next two matches will be against La Liga opposition, Girona and Celta Vigo.
