Wolves star Matheus Cunha reacts as Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma taunts Arsenal
Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma has mocked Arsenal on social media, with Matheus Cunha reacting amid rumours of the attacker’s move away from Wolves.
Bissouma played the full 90 minutes as Spurs secured their first piece of major silverware in 17 years, winning the Europa League final in Bilbao.
Brennan Johnson bundled home in the 42nd minute, and the winger’s goal was enough to ensure Tottenham beat Man United 1-0 and ended their trophy hoodoo.
The result means that Ange Postecoglou’s side will be in the Champions League next season, despite a dismal domestic campaign.

Bissouma taunts Arsenal
Tottenham held an open-top bus parade through North London to commemorate their Europa League success, with hundreds of thousands of Spurs fans lining the streets.
Bissouma took to social media after the celebrations, posting a photo of himself, Heung-Min Son, and Christian Romero on top of the bus, surrounding their new European trophy.
The midfielder mocked Spurs’ local rivals Arsenal in the caption, saying: “North London is fully white.”
Wolves forward Matheus Cunha clearly enjoyed Bissouma’s dig at the Gunners, and liked the post to show his appreciation.
Cunha had been linked with Arsenal in the January transfer window, but the Brazilian looks set to join Manchester United ahead of next season.
Tottenham have had better season than Arsenal
Football Insider Verdict
Since Tottenham’s Europa League triumph, there has been a lot of discussion around whether they have had a better season than their North London rivals.
Arsenal were knocked out of the Champions League by PSG at the semi-final stage, failed to progress past the League Cup last four, and finished runners-up to Liverpool in the Premier League.
There is no doubt that the Gunners are a better side than Spurs as the league table shows, but they have not managed to get over the line in any competition.
Position | Team | Games | Points |
1 | Liverpool (C) | 37 | 83 |
2 | Arsenal | 37 | 71 |
3 | Man City | 37 | 68 |
If you ask any football fan whether they would rather their team win a major trophy, or finish second in the Premier League, the answer would be fairly simple.
By winning the Europa League, Tottenham have completely changed the feeling around their season, with their poor domestic form now irrelevant.
Postecoglou’s side have definitely had a better campaign than their neighbours, by virtue of picking up major silverware.
