
Wolves will be sweating over Mateus Mane’s future due to Mohamed Salah Liverpool exit confirmation
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ concerns about keeping Mateus Mane for the 2026-27 campaign will no doubt be heightened after it was confirmed that Mohamed Salah would leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
The 18-year-old winger has been a breakout star at Molineux this season and has been one of the few shining lights in what has been an awful campaign.
As a result, this has seen multiple clubs linked to the youngster, with Liverpool one of the biggest clubs showing interest.
With the Reds set to be a man down on the winger going into the summer, the club could look to poach Mane in the view of him being Salah’s eventual successor.

However, when the Old Gold side were set to demand £50m to part with the winger, this reportedly put Liverpool off.
Yet, with Liverpool now in need of a new winger, Mane could be the perfect long-term replacement.
His stats are excellent for his age, and in a better side, he is only likely to improve further.
On top of this, Liverpool have made a habit in recent years of signing youngsters in the hopes that they will be one be good enough to replace their stars, with Rio Ngumoha and Giovanni Leoni being prime examples.
Therefore, Wolves will no doubt be nervous going into the summer that the Reds may try to test the waters in an attempt to bring Mane to Anfield.
Will Liverpool have another big transfer budget in the summer?
Ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness exclusively told Football Insider that Liverpool could lose £60m if they do not qualify for the Champions League this season.
The club is currently struggling in the Premier League and lost again on Saturday to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Therefore, if they do not qualify for the competition, it will likely affect their spending power in the summer transfer window.
On top of this, Liverpool’s high wages are also another obstacle that could prove to be a sticky point.
However, it remains to be seen if the Reds once again splash the cash in the summer as they look to return to the top of the Premier League.
