23-year-old axed in two changes to Rodgers 4-3-3: Celtic best possible XI v Zenit

GOALKEEPER AND DEFENCE

Dorus de Vries (Goalkeeper) – Should keep his place in the first-team, as he has far more experience in Europe than the only other available option, Scott Bain, will need a big game to prove the doubters wrong

Cristian Gamboa (Right-back) – Should replace the injured Mikael Lustig. A first start in four months for the player off to the World Cup with Costa Rica, but needs must with the injury list

Kristoffer Ajer (Centre-back) – The best centre-back that is currently fit at the club, should be the biggest match that the 19-year-old has ever played in, he is good enough to cope with the pressure

Jack Hendry (Centre-back) – Should replace Jozo Simunovic as the 23-year-old must be axed after his awful performance against Partick, will be a big step-up from Dundee for Hendry in only his second game for the Hoops

Kieran Tierney (Left-back) – As ever a lot will be expected in both defence and attack for the 20-year-old Scottish International, thankfully he is more than good enough to deal with those expectations
