‘Worse than a man down’ – Rangers fans roast ‘atrocious’ player after what he did vs Celtic

Rangers shocked the Scottish Premiership on Saturday as they amazingly came from behind to beat Celtic 3-1.

Danny Rohl’s side were battered in the first-half, and were perhaps lucky not to be further behind at the break as the Hoops peppered their goal.

However, changes at half-time helped get the Gers back into the match, with Youssef Chermiti netting a brace, while Mikey Moore also got on the scoresheet to turn the match on its head.

As a result, pressure has increased on Wilfried Nancy at Celtic, with Rangers now level on points with their Old Firm rivals.

However, Thelo Aasgaard’s performance for the Gers left much to be desired, with fans furious with his display.

Rangers fans slam Thelo Aasgaard in Celtic defeat

Aasgaard’s performances for Rangers continue to lack ability and quality.

Previously, Aasgaard had been criticised for his inability to provide an attacking threat against Livingston.

The summer signing’s consistency at Ibrox has been woeful, and this was on show yet again in the Old Firm derby, producing a terrible first-half display before he was pulled off at the break.

As a result, fans were quick to slam the performance on X as the former Luton Town star ghosted in arguably Rangers’ most important fixture to date this season.

Other supporters were quick to highlight how poor Moore was as well in what was a dreadful first-half display. However, he would proven many of these comments wrong with a wonderful goal at Celtic Park.

How bad was Aasgaard in the Old Firm derby?

According to Fotmob on 3 January, the midfielder did little right on Saturday.

During his time on the pitch, he only managed to complete 50 per cent of his dribbles, create one chance and didn’t even have a shot on goal.

On top of this, Aasgaard even picked up a yellow card in the first half, which no doubt helped Rohl in his decision to take him off the field at the break.

Therefore, the midfielder simply has to do more if he does not want to be remembered as a flop at Ibrox in the near future.
