Darren Bent has claimed Adama Traore has been transformed into a Premier League superstar at Wolves and is not surprised top clubs like Tottenham want him.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, the ex-Spurs and England striker hailed the 24-year-old winger as “unstoppable” and impossible to catch when he runs into space.

Traore struggled to make an impression at Wolves in his debut season following his summer of 2018 transfer for a then club-record £18million.

But he has added end product and greater potency this season to provide Wolves with a real cutting edge on the right flank.

As revealed by Football Insider, Spurs stars urged Jose Mourinho to sign Traore after he gave them the runaround at Molineux in December.

“What a signing he has been,” Bent told Football Insider. “You have to take your hat off to Nuno.

“Nuno is the one that has worked with him and turned him into the player he is. For whatever reason Wolves is the perfect fit.”

Traore has made 21 league starts among 36 appearances in all competitions for the Midlands outfit in this campaign, scoring five times and supplying 10 assists to fully establish himself as not only a key player but one of the most dazzling in the Premier League.

“Wow, he’s unstoppable at times,” Bent added to Football Insider. “That is a skill set you can not ignore. You can give defenders 15 yards and he still runs past them.

This comes after he made just eight Premier League starts among 36 appearances in all competitions last season, which yielded just one goal and three assists.

Traore moved to England in January 2015, when he signed from Aston Villa from Barcelona.

The former Spain Under-21 international subsequently joined Middlesbrough in the summer of 2016 and spent two years at the north-east outfit.

In other Wolves news, it can be REVEALED how the club sealed the signing of Luke Matheson amid intense competition.
