‘Wow’ – Man United-linked star sends message to Man City player despite Old Trafford speculation
Manchester United have just seen one of their January transfer targets engage with a member of their city rivals.
The Red Devils have enjoyed something of a resurgence of late in the Premier League, and they now sit sixth in the table as the January transfer window approaches on the horizon.
Football Insider recently revealed that Roma are leading the race to take Joshua Zirkzee away from Manchester United, but the Old Trafford giants are already lining up plenty of deals of their own.
Ruben Amorim looks likely to be well-backed in the market again by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, as they try and build on the promising run of form that they have enjoyed of late.

Alex Scott sends message to Nico O’Reilly after Real Madrid win
Bournemouth star Alex Scott has been receiving attention after an impressive start to the season for the South Coast outfit.
The 22-year-old has started in all but one of the Cherries’ 15 Premier League games so far this term, and was rewarded by Thomas Tuchel with his first-ever senior England call-up in the November internationals.
The ex-Bristol City starlet’s displays haven’t gone unnoticed elsewhere in the Premier League, with Manchester United having already identified him as an ideal January target, according to United In Focus.

Scott is a player who United previously watched during his time at Ashton Gate, and they are now understood to be among a number of clubs who are chasing his signature.
However, the midfielder will undoubtedly have just raised eyebrows at Old Trafford after a message that he has sent to Manchester City star Nico O’Reilly.
The youngster netted his first Champions League goal to help Pep Guardiola’s side to a 2-1 win away at Real Madrid on Wednesday night, and he took to Instagram after the game to share his delight.
Scott offered a message of support in the comments of O’Reilly’s post, as he simply commented: “Wow,” followed by a fire emoji.
Man United to allow Kobbie Mainoo exit if Alex Scott deal is struck
Football Insider recently revealed that Manchester United’s stance regarding Kobbie Mainoo could yet change after the opening weeks of the January window.
The starlet has received a limited amount of gametime under Amorim again this term, but United are reluctant to sanction a loan departure for him this winter, unless a replacement can be sourced.
The boss wants quality depth in his squad, and as a result, it will seemingly take a significant arrival for Mainoo to be allowed to leave the club.
Scott could be the perfect man to help set the cogs in motion for that, and as a result, it would be no surprise to see one England hopeful replace another in the midfield ranks this winter.
