
Yeremi Pino: 100% and 67% stats show why Crystal Palace star needs to start vs Newcastle United
Yeremi Pino had a highly impressive cameo as Crystal Palace won 3-0 in their Conference League first leg tie against Fiorentina.
It was a wonderful performance from Oliver Glasner’s side as they put themselves in an excellent position to reach the semi-finals.
However, while players such as Jean-Philippe Mateta and Ismaila Sarr will win over many plaudits, one performance that may have gone under the radar was that of Pina’s.
The 23-year-old came off the bench to put in an excellent display to see out the result.
Now, Glasner should look to return him to the starting XI against Newcastle United on the weekend after Palace took a big step toward winning the Conference League.
Yeremi Pino was excellent vs Fiorentina
Pino has not been given a lot of time to shine in recent weeks, but he more than took his chance on Thursday.
Against the Italian side, he came off the bench in the 66th minute and dominated.

According to Fotmob on 9 April, he completed all of his passes, created one chance, completed 67 per cent of his dribbles, won 80 per cent of his ground duels and won all of his aerial duels.
It was simply a fantastic display, with the attacking midfielder only missing a goal to complete the performance.
As a result, Glasner must reward Pino with a start against Newcastle United on Sunday.
In recent weeks in has been clear that the 23-year-old is getting better and better, and there is no better game to give a spot in the starting XI than against the out-of-form Magpies side.
What are the odds of Palace winning the Conference League?
Palace’s odds of winning the Conference League are now extremely high after Thursday’s result.
Opta on 9 April has given them a 46.96 per cent chance of lifting the trophy as Glasner aims to leave Selhurst Park on a high note.
The supercomputer believes that they have a 97.42 per cent chance of reaching the semi-finals and a 77.14 per cent chance of reaching the final.

In comparison, Mainz 05 are seen as their biggest rivals, with the club having a 19.70 per cent chance of winning the competition.
Rayo Vallecano also still have an outside chance at 18.54 per cent after the conclusion of the first legs of the Conference League.
