Yoane Wissa and Ollie Watkins respond to ‘incredible’ Brentford announcement
Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins and Yoane Wissa responded to the latest transfer news emerging out of Brentford this summer.
The Bees have already lost Thomas Frank, who joined Tottenham as Ange Postecoglou’s replacement, leaving a huge gap in the team at the Gtech Community Stadium ahead of next season.
In addition to the manager, Mick Brown told Football Insider that Bryan Mbeumo is closing in on a move to Man United, with fans beginning to fear for the worst for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Keith Andrews has been promoted to the manager spot, but with Caoimhin Kelleher and Antoni Milambo the only two senior additions to the squad, more business needs to be done this summer.
Despite this, supporters have been greeted with yet another high-profile exit at the Gtech Community Stadium, with the player desperately needing to be replaced as soon as possible.

Christian Norgaard leaves Brentford for Arsenal
Taking to Instagram (10 July), the official club account wrote: “We can confirm that after six incredible years, Christian Norgaard has left Brentford to join Arsenal on a permanent deal.
“Everyone connected with Brentford would like to wish him the best and thank him for his service to the club,” with the post gaining likes from Watkins and teammate Wissa.

Football Insider verdict
There is no doubt that the Bees massively overachieved last season, finishing 10th in the Premier League table, just three spots away from a shot at European football.
That is exactly why Daniel Levy chose Frank as the man to lead Spurs forward, but it has also left Brentford in an incredibly difficult position heading into next season.
Potentially following his former manager to North London, Mick Brown told Football Insider last month that Tottenham have also set their sights on Wissa, with the club likely to miss out on Mbeumo.

Joining as the set-piece coach, Andrews has massive shoes to fill at the Gtech Community Stadium, and without real backing from the boardroom, it could be a relegation dogfight for the Bees.
Keane-Lewis Potter, Kevin Schade, Fabio Carvalho, and Yegor Yarmolyuk have all attracted interest from elsewhere, but the new manager needs to keep as much of the current squad together as possible.
Losing the captain, Norgaard, is certainly a big blow, with Mbeumo and Wissa both potentially leaving, and these stars need to be replaced over the coming weeks.
