‘Yves Bissouma wants to finalise move after Tottenham talks open with giants’

Yves Bissouma is interested in a move to Juventus this summer as he edges closer to leaving Tottenham, according to their former scout.

Mick Brown, who also worked as the chief scout at Man United and Blackburn and remains very well-connected at his former clubs, exclusively told Football Insider that the 28-year-old is not part of Thomas Frank’s plans for the season.

As a result, his agent has been working to drum up interest in a move and Spurs are planning to raise money from his sale before the window closes.

Football Insider revealed in May that Tottenham are open to offers for Bissouma with a number of clubs keeping an eye on his situation in North London.

Juventus are the latest to be credited with an interest, while there is a belief that a move to Italy would be beneficial for all parties involved.

This comes after Football Insider revealed in March that Tottenham will hold “crunch talks” with Bissouma about his place in the squad ahead of the summer.

Tottenham plan to accept Yves Bissouma offer from Juventus

Brown told Football Insider in March that Tottenham will accept offers for Bissouma in the summer and are working on a deal to replace the midfielder.

The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, explained that the midfielder’s agent is working on finding him a move.

“I think Yves Bissouma is a very good player,” he told Football Insider.

“But from what I hear, he’s not really the type of player Thomas Frank likes to use.

“Tottenham are going to be open to offers for him and there are a few clubs having a look, because his agent has been working to find him a move.

“One of those clubs is Juventus, who have been looking at him for a while.

“I can see him doing well in Italian football because the assets he’s got and the way he plays would be a good fit for the pace of the game over there.

“It’s something he would be interested in as well.

“He’ll still be playing for a big club and in European competitions, but it’s a fresh start away from Spurs where things have never quite gone right for him.

“If they make an offer which Tottenham deem acceptable, and talks are underway, he will want to make that move.”

Mohammed Kudus transfer update emerges at Spurs

Despite links surrounding player sales, Frank’s first priority at Spurs this summer is to add to his squad, as they continue to close in on a deal for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus.

Brown told Football Insider on 8 July that Tottenham were boosted in their pursuit of Kudus after he made clear his intention to join Spurs rather than other suitors.

This will ease initial concerns that Chelsea could leapfrog their London rivals in the race for his signature as they continue to negotiate over a fee with West Ham.

Brown previously told Football Insider that Chelsea want to sign Kudus and are prepared to rival Frank’s side in their pursuit, threatening to throw a spanner in the works.
