Zirkzee and Joelinton react to Cunha’s post ahead of Man United link-up
Man United summer signing Matheus Cunha has taken to social media to send a new message, with Joshua Zirkzee and Jolinton among those to react.
The Brazilian was in excellent goalscoring form for Wolves last season, which proved vital in helping Vitor Pereira’s side avoid relegation from the Premier League.
However, Cunha also came under fire after receiving multiple bans for scuffling with opponents, during games with the likes of Ipswich and Bournemouth.
Even so, that was not enough to prevent the attacker from securing a high profile move early in the summer transfer window.
Early in June, it was officially announced that Cunha had joined Man United from Wolves, in a deal worth £62.5million [BBC Sport].

Matheus Cunha sends new message
With the Premier League season now less than seven weeks away, players at top-flight clubs will soon be returning for pre-season.
For Cunha, that means it will not be long before he is able to link up with his new teammates at Man United.
Ahead of that, the 26-year-old took to Instagram to post a series of images from his summer break in his home country of Brazil.
The striker then added a caption to that post which when translated, simply reads as: “A little bit of everything.”
In response, several of his new Man United teammates such as Zirkzee, Patrick Dorgu and Matthijs de Ligt all liked that post.
A number of those Cunha previously played alongside at Wolves including Pedro Neto, Toti Gomes, Marshall Munetsi, Joao Gomes and Rodrigo Gomes also did the same.
Across the rest of the Premier League, the attacker’s fellow Brazilians such as Newcastle midfielder Joelinton, Nottingham Forest’s Murillo and Evanilson at Bournemouth also hit the like button.
Man United signing has a point to prove
Football Insider Verdict
There have been some suggestions that Man United have taken a risk in signing Cunha in the wake of his disciplinary issues.
He though will be desperate to dispel those suggestions and show that the Red Devils have been right to spend that money on him.
Indeed, the pressure is going to be on him to deliver, given how important it is for the club to bounce back from such a disappointing 2024/25 campaign.
Of course, with Man United also working to sign the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, there will be more than just the Brazilian for them to rely on.
Even so, when considering the way he stepped up for Wolves with some of his goals last season, Cunha will no doubt still back himself to make the difference for Ruben Amorim’s side going forward.
