Zirkzee, Ramsey react to exit-linked Newcastle ace Livramento’s ‘incredible’ post

Newcastle United right-back Tino Livramento has taken to social media to send a passionate message that has generated reactions from the likes of Joshua Zirkzee and Jacob Ramsey.

The 22-year-old enjoyed an outstanding 2024/25 campaign with the Magpies, helping them to win the League Cup and qualify for the Champions League.

That has already seen Livramento attract interest from Man City in the summer transfer window, although Newcastle will be desperate to retain his services.

Amid all that, the right-back has recently been able to add yet more success to a remarkable CV from the last 12 months.

Tino Livramento reacts to international success

Back in November last year, Livramento won his first senior international cap for England, but has been involved for his nation at Under-21s level more recently.

On Saturday (28 June), the Newcastle ace helped England U21s beat Germany in the final of Euro 2025, allowing them win that tournament for the fourth time in total, and second in a row.

Taking to his Instagram page to reflect on that success, Livramento wrote: “Mission complete!
What an incredible group to be a part of”.

Aston Villa ace Ramsey has been linked with Newcastle in the lead up to the summer, and he showed his support for the 22-year-old by liking that post.

Man United striker Zirkzee also did the same, along with several of the right-back’s current teammates at St James’ Park including Sven Botman, Lewis Hall, Fabian Schar, William Osula and Anthony Gordon.

Newcastle United must keep young England star

Football Insider Verdict

There is no way that Newcastle are going to want to lose Livramento this summer, ahead of such a big season for the club.

With European football back on the agenda for the coming campaign, the Magpies need to be adding to their squad depth, not losing it by selling first-team players.

Indeed, they will want to make a habit of winning trophies and qualifying for the top European competitions, and Eddie Howe will have to keep his best assets if they are to do that.

Livramento has emerged as one of those with his performances over the course of last season in particular, so Newcastle simply cannot afford to let him go.

Given there are still three years remaining on his contract at St James’ Park, they ought to be confident of succeeding with that objective.
