Zirkzee, Robinson react as Crystal Palace’s Chris Richards sends ‘See y’all’ message
Man United attacker Joshua Zirkzee and Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson were among those to respond to a new message from Crystal Palace star Chris Richards.
After a somewhat quiet start, the 2024/25 campaign turned into a very successful one for the centre-back at Selhurst Park.
With Chelsea recalling Trevoh Chalobah from a loan spell with Oliver Glasner’s side in January, Richards would become more regular starter for the Eagles in the second half of the campaign.
It was an opportunity that the 25-year-old certainly took with some excellent performances, not least as Crystal Palace beat Man City in the FA Cup final.

Chris Richards still going strong
While many players will be enjoying a summer break, Richards himself is yet to stop, as he represents the USA on international duty.
Overnight on Friday (20 June), the Crystal Palace ace scored the only goal of the game as his national team beat Saudi Arabia in their second group game of the Gold Cup on home soil.
That win has seen America qualify for the quarter finals of the competition, with Richards now taking to Instagram to react to that.
Posting on his page about that win and his goal, the Crystal Palace star simply wrote: “See yall in the quarters”.
In response, Man United ace Zirkzee showed his support by liking that post, with Robinson also doing the same.
The Fulham and USA left-back is missing the tournament through injury, but also sent a message to his international teammate, as he commented on that post with the words: “Tell ’em”.
Crystal Palace need centre-back to return fit
Football Insider Verdict
Those at Selhurst Park will be pleased that Richards will be continuing to maintain some confidence and momentum from the season with this success for the USA.
However, Football Insider understands that Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi is keen to join Liverpool in the transfer window.
Should a move such as that go through, then Glasner‘s side will be relying even more on Richards in the 2025/26 campaign.
They will therefore be desperate for him to return to Selhurst Park from the tournament unscathed and ready to hit the ground running with some more important performances from the start of the season.
That may ensure Crystal Palace are watching how things play out for the USA in the rest of the Gold Cup with more than a few nerves.
