Midfielder Mateusz Klich is currently undergoing a medical with Leeds after a deal was agreed with FC Twente, according to a reliable journalist.
The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to England after the appointment of Thomas Christiansen last week.
Now, it would seem as though the Dane is closing in on his first signing at the club with Yorkshire Evening Post chief writer Phil Hay reporting via his personal Twitter account on Thursday that he understood Klich was in the process of completing a medical at Leeds.

Klich has played for a number of clubs across his career and was once even on the books of reputable Bundesliga club Wolfsburg.
He has also been capped 10 times at senior international level for Poland and last season he played in 29 matches in Holland’s top-flight for FC Twente, where he scored six goals while also returning four himself.
Leeds, meanwhile have each of Ronaldo Vieira, Liam Bridcutt, Eunan O’Kane and Kalvin Phillips for their central midfield area, but they may be looking for more creativity in the centre of the park.
Football Insider verdict:
It is felt that Leeds need to add more to the central area of their team and Klich’s stats in Holland certainly read well. This will mark both Christiansen’s and Andrea Radrizzani’s first signing following his full takeover and fans will now be hoping their judgement is sound. Leeds will be looking to improve on their seventh placing in the next campaign and bringing in players from Holland’s highest division certainly shows that those in charge are not resting on their laurels this summer.
In other Leeds transfer news, the Yorkshire giants are firm favourites to sign this 21-year-old Premier League striker.
