Rangers fans have expressed their delight about the potential arrival of Dorrans and one even suggested that he is “100x better” than their current options.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Dorrans began his senior career in Scotland with spells at Livingston and Patrick Thistle, before carving out a strong career in English football.

The 11-time capped Scotland international is currently plying his trade at Norwich and the central midfielder is considered an important player for them.

He made 24 appearances this season across all competitions and chipped in with six goals.

Rangers are set to lose loanees Jon Toral and Emerson Hyndman over the summer, which has led Caixinha to chase some midfield replacements already.

Dorrans would be competing for a spot alongside the likes of Josh Windass, Niko Kranjcar
