£140,000-a-wk deal reportedly ready for goal machine, Everton must table huge offer ASAP
Leicester are reportedly set to offer Jamie Vardy a new contract to ensure he stays at the King Power after Everton were said to be in the hunt to sign him in the summer.
The Sun has reported that the Foxes will offer Vardy, 31, a £140,000-a-week deal after scoring 10 goals in his last 13 games.
This comes after the Mirror claimed that Everton had held a meeting in February over their summer targets and placed Vardy at the top of their wishlist in order to sort out the lack of goals in the side.
Toffees director of football Steve Walsh is already known to be a big fan of Vardy having signed him for Leicester for £1million in 2012.
However now that the England international is one of the most prolific goal machine’s in the Premier League, he is bound to come with a massive price tag.

Vardy has made 38 appearances in all competitions for Leicester this season, scoring 20 goals in the process.
If Everton really want to sign the former Fleetwood and Halifax forward then they must table a huge offer for him as soon as possible because he is clearly a loyal player and will agree terms to that new mega deal if there’s no pressure on him to move elsewhere.
The Toffees do have Cenk Tosun who has started to find his feet since moving to Goodison Park in January, but there will be absolutely no risk in getting someone like Vardy to spearhead the attack, even though it could cost a wild sum.
