Lineker: This is why Pochettino will have irritated Tottenham ace Kane
By Amir Mir
Gary Lineker believes Tottenham ace Harry Kane would have been irritated at Mauricio Pochettinio substituting him while he was on 29 Premier League goals.
The 23-year-old scored a hat-trick during the 7-1 win against relegated Hull on the last day of the season but his manager opted to take him off after 79 minutes.
Kane, who wins the golden boot for the second consecutive season, finishes off the campaign with 29 league goals to his name and a further eight strikes in other competitions.
Match of the Day presenter, Lineker sent out this message after Kane was replaced by Vincent Janssen at the KCOM Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
“Harry Kane has gone off,” Lineker wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Stuck on 29 [goals]. That would irritate him.”

Despite enduring an injury-hit season, Kane scored four more goals than his nearest rival, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
More remarkably for Kane, he scored nine goals in his last five league matches, including back-to-back hat-tricks on the road.
He scored four goals away at Leicester on Thursday night and finished off the season with a further three more against Hull.
As a result, Spurs will finish off the 2016/17 season on 86 points from their 38 matches as they have secured the runners-up spot.
It is a record tally in a single Premier League season for the North London club, who also finish above Arsenal for the first time in 22 years.
They will temporally move into Wembley next term before moving into their new stadium for the 2018/19 campaign.
