Report names five players on Klopp wanted list, Liverpool confident £15m sensation will sign
By Russell Edge
Liverpool have made Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon one of their top targets as they look to recruit up to five new players this summer, according to a report.
The Independent claim on their website that the Reds are confident they will be able to secure a deal for the 16-year-old left-back for a fee of £15million.
The English defender is just one of five names on Jurgen Klopp’s shopping list this summer, with a left-back, a central defender, a central midfielder and a forward the reported priorities.
Alongside Sessegnon, the German manager is also reportedly hoping to deals for Hull full-back Andy Robertson and RB Leipzig duo Timo Werner, who plays as a striker, and midfielder Naby Keita.
The Mirror claims that a deal for 23-year-old Robertson has already been agreed and that the club will announce it when the transfer window opens in July.

Meanwhile 21-year-old Werner has been in impressive form for his club, with the versatile attacker scoring 21 goals in 31 appearances for the side sitting second in the Bundesliga.
His 22-year-old team mate Keita has also enjoyed a profitable season, scoring 8 goals in 30 appearances from the centre of the park since joining the club in the summer of 2016.
It is also reported that the Reds have not given up hope of signing Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk but accept that securing his signature will be a tough ask, with the likes of Chelsea interested.
Football Insider verdict:
Jurgen Klopp seems to be getting ready for a very busy summer ahead of an even busier season. The Reds will be competing on four fronts next campaign, with domestic and European competitions on the horizon. As such, it looks like the German manager is looking to expand the size of his squad to deal with the rigours of such a hectic season. He is obviously targeting young but proven talent, with the likes of Sessegnon and Werner having enjoyed successful seasons in their respective sides’ starting XIs. They would certainly be welcome additions to the squad at Anfield, offering attacking flair which will get the fans off of their seats. The versatile Keita could operate in a number of different roles in the centre of the park, which would be useful to Klopp depending on injuries and suspensions. Robertson might be the most unexciting name on the list but his proven talents could come in crucial during the long season.
