'Give him the contract' - Arsenal fans plead with Wenger to offer playmaker new deal (not Sanchez)
By Abigail Withey
Arsenal fans have begged manager Arsene Wenger to finalise a contract extension for playmaker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Many supporters were provoked on Twitter after Arsenal wrote that it was six years ago to the day that the 23-year-old signed for the club.
The north London side shared the England international’s club statistics alongside a video of his best moments on their official Twitter account on Tuesday, which suggested that Wenger’s side could be announcing a contract extension.

Oxlade-Chamberlain joined the club as a teenager in 2011 from Southampton for £12 million but failed to lock down a position and regular starting spot.
The Englishman spent much of last season being moved around the pitch which resulted in the 23-year-old being played in eight different positions.
However, the midfielder started and played the full 90 minutes of the Gunners’ Community Shield victory against Chelsea where he netted the third penalty for the north Londoners.
