'One-legged fool', 'Useless' - Leeds fans fume at first-half display of one man v Barnsley

Leeds United welcomed Barnsley to Elland Road on Saturday in the Championship with both teams in need of a win.

It was an afternoon in Yorkshire which saw Paul Heckingbottom come face to face with his old employees whom he left back in February to take the Whites hotseat, following Thomas Christiansen’s sacking.

Only earlier in the day, the U18s won the PDL league, perhaps showing the senior side how to succeed and it looked as though they were following the lead set by the youngsters.

Leeds dominated from the off as they came out of the blocks with a spring in their step.

Despite a Tom Pearce goal in the 27th minute of play, supporters continued to be unhappy with the display of Ezgjan Alioski after the player was guilty of putting a few poor balls into the box and missing an opportunity himself to add to the scoreline.

And it didn’t take long for the Whites faithful to start hammering the Macedonian on social media, especially after a Paudie o’Connor own goal saw Leeds pegged back by half-time.
