Chelsea goalkeeper star Thibaut Courtois has stated he would be happy to see current Everton ace Romelu Lukaku with the London club.
Lukaku, 24, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Toffees this summer with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2019.
Former club Chelsea have been one of the most speculated destinations for the powerful Belgian, while Manchester United are also said to be interested.
Now, Courtois, 25, has told that he would be happy to see Lukaku in the Blues’ dressing room, describing him as a “great player.”
“Romelu is a great player so if he decides to go to Chelsea or Chelsea decide to sign him I would be happy to see him in the dressing room in July,” told Courtois to Sky Sports.
“I guess if it’s the right offer he might go. It’s up to him to decide.”
Courtois of course already knows Lukaku well with the two starring in the Belgium national team together.
The pair are two of their country’s most important players and they could once again prove vital at club level if Lukaku decides to move back to the Blues.
But, he may also be reluctant to move back to a team who discarded him after just just three years, which included two loan moves and just 15 appearances for the Chelsea first team.
The powerful forward has since become one of the Premier League’s best strikers and in total he has returned an impressive 85 goals in 186 top-flight matches.
In other Everton news, this striker has signed for the Toffees after agreeing terms.
