Lloris: Spurs must do this before we can get to next level
By Matt Bullin
Tottenham and France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has claimed that Spurs must win a trophy if they want to get to the next level.
After a fantastic season so far, Spurs are well in the title race, after thrashing Bournemouth 4-0 to move just four points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.
Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Mousa Dembele and Vincent Janssen were all on target as Tottenham secured a huge three points in their seventh consecutive Premier League win.
Spurs sit second and have all but confirmed a Champions League spot, meaning all that remains for them is an unlikely title charge – and the FA Cup.
Spurs take on Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday, as the side look to take a huge step towards winning their first major honour in nine years.

However the match may also have a bearing on the title race, as whoever wins will surely take a huge psychological edge into the final six Premier League fixtures.
Speaking on Sky Sports 1’s Premier League World [Wednesday 8pm], Lloris said: “I think to take the next step we need to continue to do things we are doing at the moment and win a trophy.
“Because you work so hard that you need to be rewarded of that – this is the ambition of all the players in the team.”
Lloris has been a key figure for Tottenham this term and he has kept 13 clean sheets in his 28 league appearances this season.
The 87-time France international has played a total of 36 league and cup games for Spurs this term.
