Tottenham 23-year-old issues warning to Everton striker Lukaku
By Matt Bullin
Tottenham striker Harry Kane has issued a warning to Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, saying he has one eye on the Belgian’s tally and wants to be the Premier League’s top scorer.
Kane and Lukaku, both 23, have been in fantastic form this term and are among the league’s top scorers.
Tottenham’s star forward has 20 goals in the Premier League, while Everton’s Belgian ace leads the charts with 24.
Kane’s 20 goals have come in just 24 games and he has laid on five assists for his teammates as well.
The 17-time England international netted in his first start since suffering a foot injury at the weekend, as he bagged in Spur’s 4-0 triumph over Bournemouth.

Kane was joined on the score sheet by Mouse Dembele, Son Heung-min and Vincent Janssen.
Lukaku also added to his tally at the weekend as he scored in Everton’s 3-1 win over Burnley.
When asked whether he keeps tabs on the Belgian’s goal tally, Kane told tottenhamhotspur.com: “It’s hard not to! As a striker you want to be top scorer in the league, no doubt about it.
“I left a couple out there I probably should have scored [against Bournemouth], Lukaku has been doing well and it’s a good competition but the main thing is we’re winning games.
“I’ve a little eye on the run-in and if I can get a few more, we’ll see what happens!”
Alexis Sanchez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Diego Costa and Sergio Aguero are all also in the running to win the Premier League golden boot, but they are all yet to hit 20 goals this campaign.
Kane won the prestigious award last season as he finished on 25 goals for the season, one goal ahead of Jamie Vardy and Sergio Aguero.
