£40m-rated attacker reluctant over new deal amid Tottenham interest - report
By Dominic Toner
Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha is reluctant to sign a new deal as Tottenham’s interest in him continues, according to a report.
The Times claim that Palace are preparing a new £120,000-a-week contract offer for their winger, but he is unsure whether to accept the new deal.
It is understood that the 24-year-old will be offered the chance to become the club’s highest-paid player of all time, but that might not necessarily be enough to convince him to stay at Selhurst Park.
The report details that Spurs have continued interest in signing Zaha and are expected to make an offer in the summer, which is believed to be more than the £12million bid they submitted last summer.
The Times claim that Palace have stamped a £40million price tag on their star mane in an attempt to deter any moves.

Zaha is enjoying his best season to date with the Eagles and has played an important role in their fight against relegation from the Premier League.
The tricky right winger has made 32 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring six goals and supplying 11 assists.
Meanwhile, Spurs are fighting for the league title this campaign under manager Mauricio Pochettino, but the wide areas have been one of his side’s weak points.
The north London club recruited wide men Moussa Sissoko and Georges-Kevin NKouodou last summer, but neither of them have made the desired impact.
Football Insider verdict:
Spurs need to continue building their squad if they want to stay at the top-end of the Premier League and are on the verge of a title-winning team. They do need to add some extra quality in the wide areas, but £40million for Zaha would be a farce. The 24-year-old has been inconsistent so far during his career and only this season has started to look like the whole package. Pochettino is a big admirer of the winger and he could certainly add an extra spark to the north London club. However, they should look to reduce the price significantly for his services as he is not yet proven to be anywhere near the large sum Palace have placed on him.
In other Tottenham transfer news, they have made contract for a £25million-rated attacker.
