51-touch ace and player who won all his aerial duels shine – Rangers’ three winners vs Hearts

Danny Rohl may have still seen the positives in Rangers’ 2-1 defeat to Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.

Rohl has had an impressive start to life at Rangers in the Scottish Premiership since he joined the club from Sheffield Wednesday in October.

Rangers had a turbulent start to the season under Russell Martin, but Rohl has restored some stability on the pitch.

However, the size of the task for Rohl is still huge, but three players could have futures at the club following their positive performances against Hearts.

Dujon Sterling

The centre-back made his first start of the season during Rangers’ 1-0 win over Hibernian, and the 26-year-old impressed again against Hearts.

Dujon Sterling won all his aerial duels and 75% of his ground duels in the heart of Rangers’ back three.

Sterling was not helped by Rangers having to chase the game in the second half, as the defender had little protection in-front of him from midfield.

Mikey Moore

Forced Hearts goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow into a smart save, in one of few stops the German had to make in the first half.

Mikey Moore has been revitalised at Rangers under Danny Rohl, and he looked dangerous when he got on the ball in-between the lines.

The on-loan Tottenham forward still looked for the ball in a difficult second half, but the 18-year-old was let down by his team-mates.

Connor Barron

The midfielder was tenacious and was a rare bright spark for Rangers, with Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande both poor.

The 23-year-old’s strong challenge on Alexandros Kyziridis set the tone for a fiery encounter between the two sides.

Barron won all his tackles, and successfully completed all his dribbles, with the midfielder a must to start against Motherwell next.
