£75,000-a-week Tottenham player agent makes transfer admission about PL rivals
Christian Eriksen’s agent has admitted that rumours of transfer interest in his client from the likes of Manchester United is flattering after a brilliant few years at Tottenham.
Eriksen, 25, has been in fine form in North London and the midfielder’s representative Martin Schoots has suggested that the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Premier League rivals Man United are keeping tabs on the Dane.
Schoots, speaking to Danish news outlet BT, admitted that it is nice to see Eriksen linked with such prestigious clubs, but he refused to go into too much detail.
“I’m not much to comment on rumors. But when clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United are mentioned, it’s always a compliment,” he said.
The Telegraph has reported that Eriksen is earning £75,000-a-week on his current deal at Tottenham, a surprisingly low sum for an international who has such immense quality.
He has made 34 appearances in all competitions for Spurs this term, scoring nine goals and supplying nine assists in the process.
A lot has been said of Daniel Levy’s strict wage budget control at Spurs and there’s no doubt that clubs like Man United or Real Madrid would be able to offer him a massive pay rise if he was to quit North London.
Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has recently claimed that Eriksen will sign a new contract with the club, something which Spurs fans would no doubt love to see happen.
